简介
Laura spent 6 weeks at Whippany, NJ's Den recording studio recently working on her new CD, "Flower Garden." Among the 12 newly recorded songs are the albums first single "Eyes of Seventeen," and updated versions of "Anymore" and "Expecting A Love Song," 2 songs which were previously made available to fans exclusively through mp3.com. Also included is a powerful rendition of The Police hit, "Walking On The Moon," which was arranged by drummer, Marty Brasington. "I'm very excited about this record," Ms. Diamond states, "it's a bit different from 'Adonis...[and other romantic delusions],' which I think is a good thing. I like to say that it's a heavier record... well, heavier in a Laura Diamond sort of way! I mean, who wants another record that sounds just like the last one?" In addition to the rhythm section of bassist Frank LaPlaca and drummer Marty Brasington, "Flower Garden" includes the performances of several guest musicians, most notable are the contributions of guitarists Zak Rizvi and Jim Santos. "Zak is simply an amazing musician. Very few guitarists are able to follow the kind of chord voicings I use, and Zak always manages to play just what I hear in my mind." While Rizvi is responsible for the vast majority of the guitar work, Jim Santos (Brasington's bandmate in the AOR rock band Norway), also appears on two tracks courtesy of Norway's UK label, Now & Then Records. ************ Did you ever hear about LAURA DIAMOND? No? What a shame. Because her voice is like a DIAMOND. Her second CD "FLOWER GARDEN" is really fantastic. Great songs. Great musicians. And after 55 Minutes of listening you are thinking: why must it end now. Let`s play it again - and again - and again. ... Dirk Stursberg (Radio 98.6, Berlin, Germany) ************ By the time the album finishes you will have fallen under Laura Diamonds's spell. "Flower Garden" will work its magic on you if you let it.
