Beauty For Ashes is a gospel rock group based in Kigali, Rwanda. The band was born in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, when lead singer Olivier, a genocide survivor who suffered from bitterness and anger, found healing through the music he wrote. Today, these are the same songs the band is bringing to audiences around the world. Renaissance is the band's third studio album, following the successful releases of Siriprize and The Wonders of the Son, as well as a live concert DVD called Hari Ayandi Mashimwe. Renaissance features 14 tracks, which perfectly fuse rock and pop genres with a distinctively African flavor. Beauty For Ashes launched the album at the Renaissance concert in Kigali, Rwanda on July 9, 2017. The band has performed before crowds across East Africa, as well as in Asia and North America, with a European tour scheduled for Fall of 2017.
