Janked is a song inspired by plaid. From a distance, it looks like a uniform plane of parallel lines, but that's not what it's about. The true nature of plaid is an otherwise perfect arrangement of interlocking hatch patterns ruined by the imperfections and ruffles of its environment. This is one of the first tracks I produced since moving into my dorm room. It was one of those projects that started as aimless nonsense, but ended up being pulled together. The song, "Egg Dad", was like this, and this is pretty much my favorite way to do things right now. Produced with a combination of analogue and digital synthesizers. All audio samples were recorded on my phone. Special thanks to my brother, Jon, for his drum set samples and percussive influence.
