Entertainment Rosilina Rolyat still counting on prayer Thursday, September 17, 2015 Rosilina Rolyat SOCIAL worker Winsome Ashley says she enjoys her day job of counselling military veterans and families living in the densely populated American state of New Jersey. But she feels she could do more. "Music is my first love and through my music, I would love to touch millions of hearts," she told Jamaica Observer. With that in mind, Ashley (who uses the moniker Rosilina Rolyat) recorded the gospel track Pray On. The single also features Sparkle. "Prayer is a powerful source of energy and life itself. No matter what you're going through prayer can lift your spirit. It doesn't have to be in a set place and time. I believe in talking to God," she said. Written by Ashley, Pray On is produced on her Artical Motion label. It is expected to be released on iTunes in the next two weeks. The singer/songwriter said she is not in pursuit of commercial success for the single. "I'm not a fame chaser. I'm just hoping people will listen to the words and find hope and inspiration to take them to the next level," she said. This is not Ashley's first project. In July she recorded and produced her first single Nonreciprocal. "That song is about giving love and getting none in return. A lot of people can relate to this," she said. Hailing from Portmore, St Catherine, Ashley migrated to the United States in 2002. Prior to that, she spent time in England and in Cayman Islands. She said she hopes to do a gospel album as well as a pop album.
