Mrcorbett is the musical alias of English Singer - Songwriter Warren Jenks. "The Sunshine Ladder" is my sixth album in eight years, and throw in a few EP's and you can see I've been a busy boy!. My main musical influence has always been The Beatles, even after many years i still find new ways to listen, absorb and natually enjoy the music they made, throw in my later Floydian and Blues and Folk and Classical influences and you sort of get an idea that my music does tend to veer all over the place!. My current penchant is for open tunings and "The Sunshine Ladder" kicks off with a DADGAD Indie Rocker called "Down", an ear blast to announce this new direction i've been heading in lately. Then be prepared to dip into a a maze of styles telling the story of one mans return from the depths of despair back to the golden heights of life, it ends after 80 mins with the throwback and joyous ukulele pop song of "You and Me (and my Ukulele). If you want a song about being in love with a set of traffic lights, you're in the right place, if you're after an ode for loss of the loved ones who shaped our life, you're in the right place, if you wanna dance, rock, enjoy cryptic lyrics, heartfelt music then you are in the right place. "The Sunshine Ladder" is my 19 song opus of the highs and lows of life and the pure happiness of making and creating music, and i hope you enjoy listening to it, and buying it of course would be a bonus!! :) Love Mrcorbett June 2015 x
