The music of 'Temple Of Dreams' aspires to express a powerful spiritual quality, a belief in the boundless potential of the human race, and hope for an optimistic future, based on my own insights and perspectives. The Songs combine simple metaphysical Lyrics, potent and uplifting Electric Lead Guitar, 12-String Acoustic Guitar, Slide Guitar, Electric Bass, Percussion and Harmony Vocals, with elements of Rock, Folk and New Age, to provide an energised, inspiring and engaging experience. My own inspiration is a mixture of the spiritual outlook I've acquired through life experience and a searching, questioning nature, coupled with the timeless music of the great Rock, Folk and Progressive Artists of the late 1960's/early 1970's, whose imagination and originality continue to amaze me. However I consciously avoid trying to emulate anyone, wishing to develop my own style and ideas, and reflect the times I'm living in. I prefer not to use computers for music creation, and choose to Record 'Live' in the Studio on real instruments, opting for a more direct and passionate 'hands on' approach. The Songs ; 1.Is Your Spirit Free 3m 39sec A rhythmic composition, celebrating the Spirit's potential and the dream of reaching towards it, permeated by powerful, soaring Lead Guitar. 2.When Will You Know 7m 18sec A mid-tempo Song, featuring Acoustic Slide Guitar and potent Lead Guitar, asking if we can create a wiser and more miraculous world. 3.Through The Heavens 7m 12sec An ethereal guitar meditation, describing an imagined inner or outer journey, using Lyrics, atmospheric Lead Guitar, and 12-String Acoustic picking. 4.Dream In A Northern Sky 5m 39sec A Song that partially came to me in a dream - where Chorus lyrics and melody were presented - and I found 12-String Chords the following morning. The words describe part of my life in the northeast of England, and the aspiration to find adventure and discover magic, amongst the constraints of convention I refused to accept.
