简介
The Life You're Faking, coreleased by FDR with Michigan based label Jam Records, finds the longstanding NJ garage rock/power pop band, Dipsomaniacs, at their finest. The Life You're Faking captures the group's frenetic garage rawness (think early Who/Replacements/Wilco) but also has a shimmering sonic punch that will bring to mind bands like Semisonic, Teenage Fanclub, and Foofighters. The tunes are melodic as hell, well written, and simply rock. John Swenson, in a United Press International article declared, "Mick Chorba, the band's singer/guitarist and main songwriter, has come up with several instant classics on the new album, particularly the surf fantasy 'Everyday,' which may be one of the most perfectly-crafted guitar rock songs ever written... the Dipsomaniacs are a truly great rock band..." (UPI 1/16/02) The Boston Herald gave the disc 8 of ten points (10/12/01). Goldmine magazine pronounced the album "an excellent effort" and a "rollickin' good time" (5/31/02). Top-notch songwriting along with outstanding performances from a solid, no-frills, gritty rock band make The Life You're Faking a truly unique, exciting and just plain fun experience for any music fan who loves rawk n roll.
