The songs are about living in the upper midwest in the late 20th Century (yeah, these songs have been around a while). They owe much to Dave Michel's recording and production talents. (A few tracks were self-recorded--Dave did what he could with those). They're seeing the light of day here after hanging back in the shadows for long stretches of time. They're not hip or artsy; they are melodies wed to stories and ideas, and the joys of making guitar strings hum. It doesn't make sense to me to talk much about them--I hope you listen and find some that connect to you.
