简介
Sacramento based, this band has truly unearthed a new side to Rock, melding every faction and era of American music, from early Jazz and Blues to present day Pop and Rock, along with heathy splashes of Soul and R & B, complete with exhilarating piano, vocal work and stage performance. The band’s history dates back to 2007, when they were primarily performing and writing songs in the style of 50’s Rock n’ Roll, so accurately in fact, that 6 original songs from the band’s self-titled first album(first released in 2009) were picked up summer of 2014 and re-recorded for the indie horror film, ‘1959’. Soon, Todd Morgan, the band’s vocalist, songwriter, pianist, and often guitarist, felt the need to create and develop his own style and sound. In 2012, this resulted in the release of his second album, Reality, which far outsold its predecessor. Though audiences still enjoy the early tunes at live shows, they’ve embraced Todd’s current creations with equal, and in many cases, greater fervor. An exciting, high budgeted short film/music video was made for, Crazy Cryin’ Blues (from the Reality album), and released November 2014. The band enthusiastically returned to the studio late 2014 to began work on the 'Sweet Pretender' album. Todd enjoying the process and role of producer "almost" as much as performing live. The album has gotten great attention from local press with articles such the one in Sacramento's, Submerge Magazine. - http://issuu.com/submergemag/docs/submerge193/36?e=1923680/14587655 Submerge Magazine co-owner, Jonathan Carabba, reviewed the album with Rick Kushman on Rick's Capitol Public Radio program, Sound Advise; "It is really good, its solid front to back". Capitol Public Radio, Insight, host Best Ruyak - http://www.capradio.org/miniplayer?id=55061 The album has also been receiving some airplay on 98 Rock's Local Licks and track #3. "Running Wild" was recently received an award for "Best Song of the Year" in the Stockton Chapter of West Coast Songwriters and will go on to compete for "Best Song" at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, CA against W.C.S. Chapters from Los Angeles to Portland Oregon. The top two winners there will go on to perform at WCS's Conference Sunset Concert in San Francisco, September 26th, 2015 for industry notables such as Michael, Narada Walden, Larry Batiste, Andre Pessis, Josh Young, Darian Cowgill and many others.
