True story. Sometimes it's hard to make a true story fit into a song, but sometimes reality seems like it's a song, and this was one of those times. I will probably always remember our saying goodnight on that bridge... The song came out sounding like Neil Young, but that wasn't intentional. I think once you get to this level of wistfulness that's the way things sound.
