This CD should have been the first of a small series but my plans were overtaken by the harsh reality of my body.

I'm more than grateful to the musicians who gave their talent and creativity to this project. Damir Filipovic gave me the opportunity to try out new songs in the bars where he performs and later he played some great guitar in my attic studio. At Damir’s I met Mirko Koraç, a sensitive bass player with beautiful eyes the photographer sadly missed. Jaap Vrenegoor plays drums and percussion on the CD and he put me in touch with Alan McLachlan, who playes those fine sets on guitar, banjo and mandolin. Alan's involvement has given the music shine. Peter van Os lugged an accordion-sized organ up four flights of stairs and then playes a wonderful set on the Lucky track.

Of the twelve songs on the CD, five were written in the eighties and given a new arrangement over the last year. In the Mikel Le Roy studio we recorded the drums of Jaap and Mikel mixed the tracks, a very pleasant, relaxing process. All other recordings are made in my attic, where Elvira Out and Fenneke Wekker sung surprisingly beautiful harmonies. My dear granddaughter Gina made the fine drawing on the disc, photos and art-work are from Jaap Vrenegoor.
