Drawing upon sources of inspiration as diverse as Lautréamont's proto-surrealist prose-poem Les Chants de Maldoror, British typographer and iconoclast Eric Gill's An Essay on Typography, neural networks, and industrial wastelands, Nominal/Noumenal captivates the listener as it travels through raw, rarefied, intimate, explosive, grainy, and sculptural sonic territories. Nominal/Noumenal was recorded at the Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart) and Abbaye de Royaumont (France), produced at the ZKM (Karlsruhe), and mastered at Flexatone HFP (New York).
