We have reached a certain level of maturity as a species: we are now aware that we are citizens of the cosmos. But this is new for us, and just as we don't fully understand what it means to be adults when we first pass through adolescents, we don't quite understand the implications of being universal beings. Ol' Crow and LoKi reflect this moment in time through ET. It is a project concerning their own personal growth, their burgeoning aspirations as artists and their increasing awareness of the larger context they operate in. Over simple soundscapes, they weave complex lyricism throughout that manages to be meaningful and light at the same time. Throughout, there is the influence of the moment, the influence of the easy going nature of their homeland Vermont and the influence of the great rappers from far away lands whose inspirations have clearly been percolating inside them since the two were young. Recorded at MilkHaus studios, the site of the Annual 888 Art Festival, ET continues a tradition of homegrown, DIY music that captures the feel of Vermont and the imagination of the artists.
