ELL creates a wide range of musical atmospheres with its various acoustic and electronic instruments. The four members of the group have at heart to bring together pop, folk and minimalist electro harmonies, within the line of Mùm, Sigur Ròs, The Notwist or Sébastien Schuller. ELL's music is also led by an intimate and poetic visual approach that allows the spectator to become an active listener. Step by step, they make up virtual worlds in which music, black and white landscapes, odd figures and dreamlike movies co-exist. ELL came to life with the encounter of Thibault Marchal (vocals, keyboards) and Sébastien Waegell (vocals, acoustic guitar) before being joined by Thierry Sylvestre (electric guitar) and finally by Doriane Ayxandri (cello). Together, the four self-made musicians put together sounds, create rythms, constantly multiplying original sound experiences. In 2010, during a contest, ELL was among the three selected groups to play in a major musical event in Paris (Fête de l’Humanité). After two creative years of scenic experiences, 2012 is also a turning point with the arrival of its first album. The ELL project has now reached maturity, offering intimate and independant music to dreamy and curious ears, throughout pop, folk and sometimes electronic harmonies.
