The new 14 track album was mixed in the UK's highly regarded Chairworks Studios by hugely experienced Simon Humphrey (The Clash, ABBA, Culture Club, Hot Chocolate, lots more). One review said: "The whole album is underpinned....by Alex Botham's versatile and emotive vocals. [She] seems to switch effortlessly between genres while still having a distinctive style. (In other words they'll get every penny of the single's sales and 20% of every album sold.) War Child's a great charity that supports vulnerable kids whose families and communities have been torn apart by war. Check out WarChild's website. Making this album has been a labour of love (or obsession, or something) and we're proud of it. We've described it as 'blues rock' but that's not quite it. For example there are eastern hints in Time To Go; Put That Down is rockabilly; Follow the Money and Leave Them by the Door have a reggaeish vibe.... But a bittersweet bluesyness runs through it.
