In 2012 Chimney Choir recorded their first album, (ladder), at a live performance inside of a small pipe organ chapel. 'Enjoyable as a set of delicate, well-crafted Americana pop songs or as an accessible, high-concept experimental album" (Denver's Westword). Since then they have toured across oceans and over mountains and under cities in search of their next album. They did not find the album. Instead they found themselves broke, hungry and dazed in the little town of Rees in north western Germany. While sitting on the banks of the Rhein and wondering what they would do next, an old treasure map floated to shore. This message was written hastily on the back: The (compass) is hidden in Leon Gallery in Denver. Go to Leon Gallery when the Gibbous moon approaches the Lion's Heart. The (compass) will reveal itself to those who are looking. Poor Boy, the first song on Chimney Choir's new album, (compass), was discovered in Denver on March 24, 2013.
