简介
This album began as a retirement project to write songs in different genres. Inspired by the likes of Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Carole King, and Gordon Lightfoot, the focus was to write "story songs", with a definite beginning, middle, and end. The songs were sparked by idle conversations, personal reflections, and the desire to pay tribute. As the writing project neared it's completion, the question arose as to what to do with the compositions. With the aid of Kory Bayer, a brilliant sound engineer, and principal arranger, Graham 'G' Howes, vocalists suited to each work were found, and each melody was enveloped with an appropriate mix suited to the genre. The resulting eclectic album features stylings from Latin pop to musical theatre, and light jazz (bossa nova-scotia) to an Irish pub song. All but one of the musicians on the CD have their roots in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, indicative of the musical talent in this area. The album is entitled, Lost and Found, because in many of the songs something is lost, or something is found, and sometimes both. See if you can find yourself, as you get lost in the songs on this CD. N.
