简介
Punk Life is the 2nd Fighting Records release by Jacksonville's Whole Wheat Bread. The EP was produced by Travis Huff (Fall Out Boy, The Pharcyde) and features 6 brand new tracks. 3 of the songs are new punk originals and 3 songs are punk remakes of crunk classics. The boys did such a good job on the remakes that within days of leaking their cover of Lil Jon's "I Don't Give a ****" on MySpace, the King of Crunk himself contacted the band about collaborating together. Since then, they've done sessions with Lil Jon in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. But what really makes this EP awesome is the originals. "Symbol of Hope" is a politically-charged anthem that features a guest appearance from Jason Navarro, lead singer of Suicide Machines. The band's ode to Mary Jane, "Grass" is sure to motivate even the laziest of stoners to get in the pit. "206" is an instant classic, showcasing the kind of guitar-charged, hook-filled punk that has earned Whole Wheat Bread a reputation as one of the finest young bands on the scene.
