Kapono Beamer is a Grammy nominated recording artist. A talented guitarist, composer, singer, producer, arranger, engineer and recording artist, he is a multiple winner of Hawaii's version of the Grammy Awards, the "Na Hoku Hanohano Awards," with twelve awards, including Album(s) of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary Hawaiian Album(s) of the Year, Instrumental Album(s) of the Year, Producer(s) of the Year, and Recording Engineer of the Year. He is a great exponent of the traditional Hawaiian slack-key guitar, and takes six strings to new levels of mastery. To date Kapono has recorded 19 record albums as Featured Artist; and has appeared on many other Hawaiian and national recordings. Escape To Paradise, Kapono's 1st Solo Album, won numerous Hawaiian Grammy (Hoku) Awards including "Album of the Year".
