With the exception of one tune, ("Slipping' on Down") most of the music I've written over the years has been to lyrics of my late Father David Arkin or to those written by other poets. This time all of the lyrics were written by myself with the exception of the last chorus of "Hope", the lyrics of which were written by Fulvia Orlando with gratitude to some phrases by President Daisaku Ikeda, the leader of a revolutionary branch of "Mahayana" Bhuddism. The last two tunes consisted of a "Show Tune" and A Jazz Standard sung ably by Susan Kramer with only bass accompaniment. The first of these two examples are by Gerald marks and Seymour Simons. The second, "Lester Leaps In" is a jazz standard that serves as a shell for more extensive variations under the authorship of Eddie Jefferson entitled "I Got the Blues". Sincerely, Bob Arkin
