Marjorie Halloran is a San Francisco Bay Area-based composer, singer, and songwriter. Her love of music began early with preschool piano lessons and singing in kindergarten church choir, and her eventual career in music has been obvious since the beginning. Marjorie, an accomplished choral singer in addition to composer, has performed with many different ensembles in the Bay Area, as well as in Princeton, NJ, New York City, and with the University of California at Davis, where she received her BA in music theory/composition. She is the co-founder of the choral program at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, VT, where she received her MFA in composition. Marjorie's compositions have been performed by Schola Cantorum of Los Altos, CA; Resounding Achord of San Jose, CA; and multiple ensembles at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Ready For Anything, Halloran's debut album, is the culmination of her studies at VCFA.
