As a starting point Levy was inspired by the women in the clubs he visited around Europe - “The way i thought of the song was when I was out on the road doing shows and we did a bunch of clubs in Italy and in Europe and oftentimes there would be girls dancing and they would be dancing in a way that was very … provocative, right - and seductive, but also funny 'cos they were seductive but they were teasing us, very funny kind of teasing us with their moves … So i was, like girl, you’re bad - girl, you too rude but i like the way you move.".
