简介

Simple as A-B-C is a compilation of wonderful artists in the Americana, Blues, and Country genre. These artists have been heard in concert, bars, garages, and venues near you. Many of them also been heard on tv and in movies. Tisha Emberton with Poetic 9 Productions provided the cover artwork. The Livesays offer "Highway Miles", "Venus and Mars", and "Whiskey River Blues". "Take two pints Springsteen, one pint John Mellancamp, add a heaping spoonful of Beatles, a pinch of Stones, a sprinkle of Rod Stewart, a dash of Bruno Mars, beat well, bring to a boil, simmer. That's the recipe for The Livesays." www.thelivesaysmusic.com has links for other music by The Livesays. The Livesays are led by Billy Livesay - Memorable pop-rock tunes, soulful vocals, wailing slide guitar and riveting live performances are Billy Livesay's signature. A respected member of the music community, Billy toured as guitarist and lead vocalist for 12 years with E Streeter Clarence Clemons' band Temple of Soul, releasing 2 CD's titled, "Live In Asbury Park, Volume 1" and "Live in Asbury Park, Volume 2" which features Bruce Springsteen. Billy is also currently the lead singing guitarist for Tony Stevens' SLOW RiDE Original Foghat who tour internationally, most recently in Canada and California and can be heard on their cd as well. The artist Deena gives us "Best Kind of Something", "Heartful of Now", and "I'm The Girl I Told Your Mama About". Deena is Deena Shoshkes is at deena.nfshost.com where it's known that Deena began her music career as co-founder of The Cucumbers, a leading band in the 80s indie pop scene in Hoboken, NJ,with reviews in Rolling Stone and People Magazine and videos on MTV. Deena's songwriting has been called "direct and artful," by the New York Times, her voice "...incredible: kidstuff and wisdom merged," by the Village Voice. Her songs have been recorded by Jackson Browne and Dar Williams and featured in films and on network TV. A blend of alt country and indie pop, with a wink and a twinkle, "Rock River" (released March 2014, Life Force Records) is the second full length CD from Deena. Deena's compelling, charming vocals will draw you into direct, heartfelt songs that reach into the roots of American music, without nostalgia, mixed with a bit of Jersey style rock and roll party spirit, full of harmony, and pop hooks. Her first "Somewhere in Blue" as well as her Rockdownbaby music can be found online as well. "If you're up for some great tunes, with a great band, and a top-shelf singer...look no further." After moving to New Jersey at the beginning of 1972, he performed (in chronological order) as a soloist and as a member of bands such as SOUTHBOUND, BONE DRY, TRICK ZIPPER, OPUS I, THE ACME BOOGIE COMPANY (which originally also included long-time friend Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez, who was Bruce Springsteen's drummer from the 60's all the way through his second album on Columbia Records), DEUCE COUPE (with Lisa Martin), VINI LOPEZ AND THE DISCO REJECTS, THE MIGHTY ACCENTS, PHATMAN (featuring Slick Aguilar who is the long-time guitarist for Paul Kantner and Marty Balin, as well as a long-time member of JEFFERSON STARSHIP), MAJOR WOODY & THE SPLINTERS, THE SONNY PREWITT BAND and HEY!
