My friends in Nashville always used to ask me why I haven't made a record. My answer would usually be "because that's not what I came here to do". Singing background/harmony vocals on records has been a wonderful career for me for the last 25 years, and I never had the intention to become a 'famous country singer' - looking to score number one songs on the radio. I have, and am currently doing Vegas shows with 'The King' - George Strait, and I have done tour shows with Alan Jackson and Kathy Mattea. I have performed live on stage with George Jones, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffett, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, Tania Tucker, Lorrie Morgan, Darius Rucker, Gretchen Wilson, John Rich, Jon Anderson, Florida Georgia Line, Aaron Neville, Randy Travis, Wynonna Judd, Brad Paisley, Mindy McCready, Travis Tritt, Jake Owen, William Michael Morgan, and that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. I won't go into the artists for which I've sung on their records. That list would make my fingers bleed. Back on point... I made this record because I could. It represents how I feel about songs. I believe that songs carry the artists most of the time, and every now and then an artist will carry the song. But always, no matter what, it's about the song. These are some of the songs I've written that I'm most proud of. I have many more, and perhaps if this record finds an audience, I'll record them as well.
