Tapping at the Edge of Paradise is a continuation of the dreamy, trance-like improvisations and compositions I started with the album Nine Meditations for Dulcimer. On this new project, several of the tunes feature two-handed tapping on the mountain dulcimer: a technique where the right hand forefinger plays a very active "hammering-down and pulling-off" - while the left hand changes chord positions as it usually does. This specialized form of tapping sets up a hypnotic bed of rhythmic chord arpeggios.

The tunes where this tapping is used include: Tapping at the Edge of Paradise (remixed to bring the tapping bed out more clearly), Meditation on New Life, One Indestructible Blue Wave, Tapping Into the Light (this one is about 90% tapping!), and The Firefly Trio.
