"Introducing the Best rapper you never heard of"...."Apollo!"...This Midwestern born emcee began rapping at the age of 14 in the Jane Adams Project Homes in Rockford, IL. Staying true to his small-town urban roots, Apollo delivers a vivid portrayal of his city, love life, and worldview. His first underground release "The Creed" is a carefully woven 14 track story book. The Creed is entertaining, introspective, and most definitely creative. The Intro Track "Great Life" grabs the listener's attention right off of the bat. Next, the album titled track "The Creed" sets the tone for high expectations throughout the entire album. With wordplay similar to the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Elzhi (refer to tracks Bump, The Creed, & Don't Act Like), and story telling ability similar to Nas and Common (refer to tracks Life on the Rocks, Soul Ties, Haij R.I.P, & All is Fair...etc); underground heads will not be disappointed with this effort. However, Apollo still has something sensational and uplifting for the ladies in "Love You Better" and "Find You". The Creed was recorded at the legendary Lion's Den Studio in Rockford, IL. The Lion's Den is the home well known artists such as Judah The Lyrical Rev, M.I.A. III, and Bless. The bulk of the production was completed by Apollo's "brother like none other" DJ AG of Tracksmith's Productions & Rated AG Entertainment. DJ AG is arguably the most popular DJ in Central Illinois but many are unaware of his production skills. The production is reminiscent of the Roc-a-fella golden years with a couple of head nodding, laid back, vibe type tracks. Additional production was completed by Judah The Lyrical Rev and Gabe "Push Keys" Hudson. Overall, The Creed is a musical journey through the life of Darian Apollo George but hopefully, it is only the first chapter to a long life of music to come.
