Welcome to the Future is the second album by Paper Satellites. After a period of six years from the release of our first album, a new batch of songs were well overdue. Recorded from February to August of 2015, Welcome to the Future features a slightly more polished sound from the 2009 album, "Lynched." The album largely consists of upbeat rockers such as Solar, Allen Wrench, and Are You Okay. Some of the songs may be familiar to fans who have heard us perform live over the last couple years, while most of the others are brand new from this year (2015). The album was written, recorded, and produced entirely by the band itself, and released under its own makeshift label, Snapshack Records. Also, this album marks the first release to feature the band's new name change. For ten years from the band's start in 2005, we had operated under the name Lynched. After many long discussions, we settled on changing the name mainly for business purposes.
