简介
Who the f**k are Elektro Willi und Sohn? - 'Elektro Willi und Sohn' are running a small shop for washing machines in the city of Aachen, Germany. On the side, Willi builds synthesizers and music-machines out of discarded electro-scrap, which is a refreshing break from his daily grind at the store. Willi's lazy son Klaus writes poetry and is the editor of a small underground literature magazine called [SIC]. In 2005, Klaus was really pissed of with the snobby literature-business and felt unfulfilled working at the small store. What he wanted was Rock'n'Roll. And he wanted it NOW! Or at least Beat Poetry! Willi understood and sympathized with his angry son. So Willi and his son Klaus left Aachen for Hamburg to rock the legendary "Golden Pudel Club" at "Fischkai 27". Unfortunately, Klaus got so drunk there that he lost all his texts, so he improvised a perky, punky reading and after this small session, old Willi took over and rocked the crowd with his dirty electro vibes. All in all they hosted a great party - Elektro Willi und Sohn brought down the house. After this one-off foray into Hanseatic fame, Willi and son returned to their store and realized that they had to change their lives - the time had come to make the break. They`d had their fill of nasty customers and bad debts. Suddenly, Klaus had a brainwave: "Let`s make some music together! From now on, I will write the lyrics and sing, you`ll arrange the sounds!" Willi was gung-ho from the get-go, he became absolutely enthusiastic: "That`s the solution to all our problems! My dear, from now on, we're rocking together!" - The first tracks came to them quickly and easily. Everything was going incredibly well. Father and son thereupon arranged a special gig in their hometown to celebrate the end of their crisis and share their happiness with other people. The motto was: "When Willi is going to start, you don't rock soft, you rock hard!" Just before their first gig, the two musicians began to think, "Did we promise too much? What would mother say to this? Will the police break up the party?" So just in case, they donned masks and put on pink bunny-ears for the event. Finally, the party started, the audience was riding and dancing into deep technoid rhythms and funky bass lines all through the night. Even the police made some amusing visits. Everything was really ecstatic and orgiastic. It was a blast. Elektro Willi and his son asked for beer, the crowd asked for an album. - So now ... Here it is! 'Diamonds'.
