Alex Fixed is the new alias name for Darren Flynn - During the late 90s Darren was the main resident for the world famous Irish Super Club, SP@CE at the Temple Theatre Dublin - Darren had releases from Labels HomeGrown Records & BXR Records Records including the Temple Club anthem Spirit Of SP@CE. In 2002 Darren left the industry to spend more time with his family. Behind the scenes Darren followed the scene closely and in 2010 Darren Build his own studio and started producing again, it was during an online music course Darren met Derek Ryan and through a mutual love for the same music the duo formed Aureal. Aureal has had over 10 releases since then with support from the likes of Markus Schulz, PVD, Paul Okenfold to name a few. Under the Aureal banner Darren changed his production name and Alex Fixed was Born. In 2012 Alex released his cover version of Andy Lings Fixation which received the thumbs up from producers like Mark Sherry and no other than fellow Irish producer John O' Callaghan. Alex Fixed Presents Flinn is a project sound that incorporates a more modern trance sound than his previous offerings. Reaching For The Sun is the first of 2 new tracks under the Flinn banner featuring the very rich and beautiful sounding voice of Irish singer/Song writer Niamh Collins. Alex and Niamh met in 2012 and decided to collaborate together. Niamh visited Alex's studio in Dublin where a number of songs written where penned. Reaching For The Sun was one of those songs. Alex and Niamh wrote Reaching For The Sun over a six month period between 2012 and 2013 with over 8 different versions of the song. It was the middle of 2013 when the final version was finally finished. Niamh has had previous success with her collaboration with the house master Fred Lilla and theyre very successful When You Feel released on PinkStar Records. 2014 looks very bright for Alex with releases on Vibrate where he has collaborated with one of Irelands rising trance stars Paul Denton and a new solo offering coming soon on Edge EDM Records plus a handful of new projects including a new Aureal single, 2014 is shaping up to be a great year for this producer.
