简介
Edwardo “Sarge” Davila grew up in Rosenberg Tx, which is a small town just southwest of Houston. Two weeks after he graduated high school, an Army recruiter picked him up from home to ship off to basic training. Sarge recalls his mother having to sign a waiver due to his age of 17, before he left home. Sarge quickly excelled through the ranks to become one of the youngest sergeants in his unit at the 4th Infantry Division, and later the 2nd Infantry Division. His Army career has led him to duties overseas twice, where he spent over a year for each tour. He was honorably discharge after six years of active duty service, and made his home in Houston Texas. In 2011 Sarge hooked up with Trojan through a mutual friend, and it didn’t take long before they were picking each other’s interest about music. They linked up with producer/rapper Lex of Do Somethin Records and formed the group Da Wrap Dummies. Their debut album titled Verbal Skolastics was a collective success of the three, with the song Little Angel getting a small buzz on YouTube. The group steady networked the H-town underground scene for the next two years. Sarge continued his passion with music and set off into his journey of a solo career with the much anticipated project Honorable Discharge. He collaborated with Nox the 808 King to exclusively produce the album. FM Producer and James Hoover for the mixing/mastering, and the rest is history. Sarge credits his early age influences to Easy-E, Too Short, 2 Live Crew, K Rino and Street Military to name a few.
