This is a song I wrote for my Girl friend Sandra back in 2001. It's about a red wine which was only produced for only several years on Maui at the Tedeschi winery at the Ulupalakua Ranch. They had a few good years but alas red grapes are nearly impossible to grow in Hawaii. Nonetheless the song lives on. It was all self produced on linux platform (KX studio). Free and open source software and OS. Sandy took a fall and is in a long recovery so the song is to cheer her up, she always liked this one. I don't drink anymore so you won't see any wine advertising in the video. Alcohol is highly overrated. I sing drinking songs because that is my gig, so it may as well be a drinking song that I wrote. I feel good about it then. The bass is by Danny M as well as the bass solo. He is an amazing jazz musician such a privilage to work with him. The drums are sample sliced from another recording I did with Jose Ortiz. I did all the piano's, a real Rhodes 54 and Pianoteq physical modeled D4. Everything was recorded at 48KHZ for video sync.
