Ahumanu is Maui radio personality and entertainer Liz "Kopa`a Tita" Morales, musician/artist/surfer Joni DeMello, and long-time Maui performer and beloved kupuna (elder) Aunty Bessie DeMello. This debut album honors their home and traditions: songs by Hawai`i's monarchs, a grandmother's departure from Samoa for Amelika, oldtimers' favorites, and contemporary classics.
