Rust2Dust is a Slovak band founded in September 2009 by former members of well-known band Rumburax (now disbanded). Guitarists Martin ‘Semish’ Semjan (Candy Core, Rumburax) and Martin ‘Ondro’ Ondrejička (Core F.S., Rumburax) joined creative forces to form this new band. The lineup was completed by bassist Richard ‘Richie’ Potzner (Core F.S., Rumburax), drummer Marek Matejov (Canis Lupus, Rumburax) and young talented singer Tomáš ‘Bujón’ Buroň (Arva). Rust2Dust’s music is a mix of old school metal with some elements of crossover, metalcore and nu-metal. In 2015 Richie and Semish leave the band and fresh blood incarnated by Michal Koleják ([sic], Galadriel, Bjükenen) and Ernő Csonga (Sick) makes RUST2DUST even stronger. To date the band has achieved several important milestones in their career: • 2009: recorded debut EP ‘Dopamine’ with guest solo recorded by famous Slovak guitarist Jimi Cimbala in 999th studio (free download: http://www.rust2dust.sk/Media) • 2009: supported Lamb Of God in Slovakia and Czech Republic • 2010: self-released debut album ‘Daymare’ co-produced, mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen (Antfarm studio) • 2009-2012: released videos for the tracks Hate, Stay Awake, Daymare, Dopamine, Devil’s Whore, Kráľ Skazy, Losing Everything plus a live video from Wacken festival • nominated for the best Hard & Heavy Album of the year 2011 in Slovak Republic • 2011: supported Mnemic, Raunchy, Pro-Pain • 2012: historically the first band from Slovakia to play at Wacken festival (as winners of Wacken Metal Battle 2012 competition) • 2009-2012: played at several local festivals: Topfest, Basinfire fest (as support for Soilwork), Rock na Valniku, Noc plna hvezd, Bandzone Fest, Orava alternative, Gothoom festival and many more … • 2013: signed to Metalbox Recordings for the official (re)release of ‘Daymare’ (plus bonus track) • 2014: cooperation with rapper Zverina, single JE-BE • 2015: supported Limp Bizkit, Hellyeah, Ektomorph Rust2Dust is an experienced live band and their energetic and spontaneous shows will convince even the most demanding fans.
