简介
POWER LOVE SOUND is most definitely Loyiso’s best album to date! It was recorded in February at Rhema Church in front of a live audience of more than a 1000 people. The name of the album stems from the scripture 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, and of LOVE and of a SOUND mind.” The songs on this album will not only inspire listeners with their catchy melodies and lyrics that speak to the heart but will also introduce them to a fresh and innovative approach to praise and worship. The album features guest artists Ntokozo Mbambo and Neville D. The very best South African musicians and producers worked on this album and it sets a new standard. As a teenager Loyiso Bala was classically trained, finishing top of his class, at the prestigious Drakensberg Boys Choir School in South Africa. At the age of 19 he became the youngest conductor of the National Youth Choir. This laid the foundation for his successful solo career, which saw him embark on a world tour at the end of 2002. His hit singles such as ‘Girl Without A Name’ and ‘Gimme The Night’, earned him a reputation as South Africa’s king of RnB. Loyiso has received numerous awards for his work ranging from 5 South African Music Aweards (SAMAs), 3 Metro Fm Music Awards – MMA, and a South African Film and TV Award – SAFTA for ‘Best Musical Score’. He has performed alongside artists of the highest caliber including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, John Legend, Brian McKnight and Elton John. His most memorable performances have been singing for some of the world’s foremost personalities, such as Nelson Mandela, Richard Branson, Gordon Brown, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and many more. A philanthropist at heart, Loyiso Bala is an ambassador for UNAIDS, Nelson Mandela’s 466/64, Afrika Tikkun, Cotlands, the Smile Foundation and the South African Field Band
