Premonitions Rermixes is a collection of vocal cuts of Friendly Fire Band's "Premonitions Riddim" album remixed in all styles by a host of bass-music producers from the UK and Europe. As with the original one drop release played by Friendly Fire Band the emphasis is on postitve uplifting vocals and bringing consciousness back to the dancehall. Artists like veteran queen of rocksteady Susan Cadogan, UK Rootsman Murray Man, Italian reggae sensation Raphael, Friendly Fire Band's own Tomlin Mystic. City Kulture, Chillavert and Bingiman get projected in a different context with the same powerful message. Remixers that used the original live recordings by the Friendly Fire Band include Jungle veterans Lion Fire & Jinx as well as K JAH bring an energy driven style, new comer Artufex proves his versatility with two very different styles with Buffalo Soldier and Total Destruction which verges on a trap. Ill Mo Natty and Dub Suppliaz both bring a fresh dub flavour to the mixes, finally ex-Brotherhood of Filth DJ General Riddim brings a combination of bassy-rocky-ragga.
