简介
For what many critics overseas considered to be a grouping of awesome R&B singing talent, Another Level falls short on many fronts. Sadly enough, most of the material presented here is derivative, badly produced, or just simply boring. Vocally, some of the tracks are thin and in need of stronger background production. That is not to say that there aren't promising moments here in the form of "Be Alone No More," "That Girl Belongs to Me," and "We'll Meet Again." These tracks are bright and well-sung without straining to be "street" in nature. It must also be noted that this debut American release is an assemblage of material from two U.K. album releases. For a better perspective on the artistic growth (for the better) of this act, it is recommended that the interested consumer check out Nexus, which is a much more cohesive offering and a better overall listening experience.
