My Macra Girl is another light hearted agricultural song written and recorded by Michael Kennedy. This new single is all about the girl that a man might meet at the Macra Na Feirme organisation. 'Macra' as its known to its members is primarily comprised of farmers sons and daughters between the ages of 17 and 35. This song is the theme song for an Irish short film entitled 'Macra Girl' written by Brendan Hayes which Michael is also acting in as the lead male.
