27th Annual Black Hills Powwow (2013)

Each October, the Black Hills Powwow has attracted some of the most well-known singers and dancers from across the United states and canada. for 27 years, Champion singers and dancers have electrified the crowds at the Rushmore Civic center making it one of South Dakota’s premiere events. This year’s highlights included the second year Northern Cree served as the powwow’s host drum, Sabrina Pourier was named the new Miss He Sapa Win for 2013-2014, iron Boy repeated as singing champions and many others were awarded thousands of dollars in prize money in various dance categories.
