e'lissa jones is a professional singer, prolific songwriter, violinist, pianist, and guitarist. She is an exceptionally talented artist who possesses a dark and melancholy voice with a velvety quality reminiscent of jazz singers. Her songs embrace audiences with her powerful melodies and expressive lyrics. Influential styling ranges from jazz, rock, folk and country music in her catalogue of over 250 original songs. Born into a musically gifted family, e'lissa began singing and playing piano around the age of five. "At a very early age, my mother trained her girls to sing harmony and play the piano. At the age of 5 I remember my mother keeping us up late singing in thirds with one another. We were to be the next "Jones Girls." e'lissa wrote her first song at the age of seven and began studying violin at the age of ten. At eleven, she was writing love songs and short classical works for violin and piano. While classically trained as a violinist, e'lissa is largely self-taught as a vocalist and guitarist. This young artist performed background vocals with blues legend Wilson Pickett from 2001-2006 touring with Ray Charles, Al Green and many more. e'lissa in her Folk Music realm has also opened up for legend Pete Seeger, Steve Forbert, and has played violin for old favorites like Bobby Vee. e'lissa has recorded and released five albums "Shadows," "This Melodie," “Anymore,” "Sweet as the Sun," and her 2011 release "Like Water." Currently e'lissa tours the Hudson Valley with her band: Mickey Kopchak on bass, Julio Rosaly, John Bendy, and Mark McNutt on electric guitar, and Michael Hickey on drums The e’lissa jones band has been together for over 5 years capturing her audiences with lively performances of catchy melodies and rich lyrics.
