Their sound is a mixture of 90's era alternative rock (think Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, HUM, and Sunny Day Real Estate) with 70's era progressive and psychedelic influences (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson).They first formed in 2012 when Ashley Barker (vocalist, guitarist, and economics teacher) and Aaron Kamphuis (bass, engineering, and stubborn persistence) met through a Craigslist ad. They recorded 5 EPs (several of which Aaron handled drums due to a lack of personnel) and eventually in 2014 found a permanent rhythm keeper in Rob Nouryeh. The band recorded their first full length album "Astronomy" in 2015, and in that same year the band began playing shows outside of the immediate Atlanta area, spreading into the larger southeastern region of the US. Their live shows combine their songs in unique ways - no two setlists are ever exactly the same, and their live shows frequently have an improvised element of weaving one song to the next. With an original catalog of over 40 songs, some of their shows have been three hours long. In 2016 the band will release their second full length album called "Satellites In The Sky", which according to Aaron is a "heavier, denser, and darker album" than "Astronomy". The band has shows booked through the southeast and midwest through the spring and summer, and more through the end of 2016.
