Tropical Hideaway was performed/written by Michael Rochelle (drums/vocals/keys), best known for his powerhouse and award-winning singing in blues band Shadetree Mechanics (seen often at BB King's, Southstreet Seaport, NYC, NJ etc.). Recorded in SRS studios, then on West 21st St. NYC, the live band included Bruce Posner, classical/jazz keyboardist (Koch Records), and the members of Silk, chanteuse/actress/lyricist Prescilla, Dennis Barletta guitar, Jon Andrews productions, and others. These were live band direct-to-tape sessions, cleanly engineered and mixed by Kent Schuyler (arranger/producer the Sherry Winston jazz flute ensemble). Released now in honor of the 2012 Summer SOULstice P.A.R.T.Y it is the first EP track from those live Mike & Prescilla sessions to be released.
