Kinslee Melhorn is a young singer/songwriter from Decatur, TN who loves to perform. Kinslee was named TN Country Gospel Music Association 2012 Songwriter of the Year for ages 13 – 16 and in 2013 named Songwriter of the Year Rising Star at the national level. Most recently, she was named 2013 Vocalist of the Year ages 13 – 16 with the TN Country Gospel Music Association and her first CD was named ‘CD of the Year’ also. Her music is featured on Athens WJSQ Rising Stars show, Chatttanooga’s US101 Backwoods Country show, Bill Rainey Show and available for download on iTunes. Kinslee has opened up for American Idol Runner-up, Lauren Alaina and Confederate Railroad, at the US 101 Forgotten Child Concert and has also performed at the Blue Plate Special (WDVX) in Knoxville, TN, National MooFest, WJSQ 101.7 Music on the Menu, Hard Rock Café Nashville, National Cornbread Festival, Bluebird Café Nashville, Lake Winnie, Tennessee Valley Fair, Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Athens Art Center, TN Strawberry Festival and several local churches, fundraisers and festivals. Kinslee is an upbeat inspiring young artist who is sure to entertain. She just recently released her second EP.
