Distant Space is the work of Stefan Biermann a.k.a. SpaceTourist, who is also known as the mastermind of well known Ambient-Project Gate Zero (Fax Records). This beautiful EP takes you on a sound journey back to the earlier days of ambient, always on behaviour of fresh, punchy and over all groovy beats. His tunes express a deep mood with wide pads and sometimes unusual sounds in harmony with ultra-low sub basses. Stefan knows how to play a Piano that additionally expresses the deep atmospheres and hypnotic grooves of this record. Well, in this special case, the name ‘distant space’ shows you exactly the hint, which describes the sound the best way.
