The Beautiful Losers was a 3 piece band based in London 1980 around Philip King (The Servants, LUSH, Jesus & Mary Chain). Genetic Music is delighted to release the band's only 3 studio recordings plus a demo song for the very first time on vinyl. There has been a very limited (59 copies) 3"CDr release on Vollwerth Records/Edition59 years ago, but it is time to get these real gems of early authentic post punk out and finally available. Strong reminiscences of e.g. Joy Division or The Sound come up, in fact the songs have been produced by Adrian Borland (Second Layer, The Sound) and his influence is very obvious. Even though The Beautiful Losers' story is very short - the band only ever played 5 live shows (2 of them as support for The Sound) - their fantastic songs belong into every early 80's wave/punk vinyl collection and are a must-have for Adrian Borland fans. This EP is a great document of an inspiring time in music...
