Female acoustic folk album that is a mix of contemporary and more traditional style songs. The songs are simple and lyrical with strong vocals, memorable melodies and subtle harmonies. They are rich in imagery. Accompanying the guitar/vocal core are a mix of lead guitar, mandolin, dobro, percussion, hammer dulcimer and harmonica. Images are grounded in rural northern environments whether the songs are love songs, or other reflections. Songs range from contemplative finger picking and rhythmic strums to more upbeat bluegrass style.
