Setting out to revamp an older album, Benjamin Gilbert stripped down all of the songs and created a bare bones approach to the album. Strengthening the heart and soul of each track was only the beginning, however. What started as a rebirth of tracks led way to new tracks altogether. The first single, Facing Demons was one such new track written specifically for the debut album Skin + Bones. Fusing folk rock and hip hop together in a spiritual canopy wasn't an easy undertaking, and the album showcases a host of these styles from start to finish.
