UVTraveler is a SF Bay Area original rock band with deep roots in classic and progressive rock. This music is now though and represents a lot of years of writing, playing, and listening. Objects appear closer ep2 is the companion EP to ep1 released a couple of months ago. EP2 incorporates more of hard rock and classic rock styles into a new 21st-century sound with a focus on instrumental and vocal musicianship. Here's what's on this recording: 1. When the sun gets in your eyes This song gets some inspiration from mid 70s Led Zeppelin, but is for the 21st-century rock music fan who is tired of the same old rock/pop stuff pushed out over the last 5-10 years. It is upbeat, yet still moody enough....one of the few UVTraveler songs centered around a major key! OK well maybe not exactly... 2. Candlelight A song that goes back 12 years in origin to the Colonel Panic days when a few current members of the band first played together. This song has been a crowd favorite since then, and remains one now. It is an introspective song that releases pent up frustrations into a sonic escape from reality for the listener. It has a lot of acoustic rock elements but still incorporates a heavy chorus at its peaks. 3. Like Seasons Change Another song that goes back some years, but reworked and edited with much more intense vocal and guitar work. Another atmospheric rock song with lyrics that focus on our attempt to handle an unexpected radical change in life. The music expresses this uncertainty, and ultimately leaves the listener with the sense that all will go on and be alright.
