简介

"kRi & hettie are a folk duo who blend acoustic guitar, spoken word and harmonies... if you're searching for inspiration, look no further." ~Sara Havens, LEO Weekly A show with kRi & hettie is a theatrical experience where the message is just as important as the beat and melody. They seamlessly weave humor, storytelling, music, and poetry into a performance that inspires both young and old while maintaining a wide-open-hearted feeling. kRi, a redheaded modern-day Bette Midler, and hettie, a blonde soft-spoken India.Arie, mix on stage like oil and vinegar making the salad taste so good! They have shared the stage with Sarah Bettens, Erin McKeown, Leslie and The LYs, Lizzie West and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Gretchen Peters. Being in service to the world is a huge part of who kRi and hettie are. They were commissioned by the Austin, Texas-based organization Cenpatico to create the theme song "Change it Up" for the Peaceful Warrior project, designed to engage and inspire young women in the foster care system. "Their sound is unique, blending hip hop with folk, gorgeous vocals, and deep lyrics." ~Laura Shine, 91.9 WFPK “I love that [kRi and hettie] are free on stage, free to dance and communicate, drawing on the energy of the crowd and giving back more and more...They are young and fresh and have a palpable chemistry which adds depth to their love songs.” ~Chi Sherman, NUVO “Their shows are inspirational, uplifting and powerful, and their music is equipped with a message that gives a voice to feminism, equality and girl power. In fact, if they were a Spice Girl, they’d be Patchouli Spice. The ladies also don’t take themselves too seriously and like to have a good time on stage.” ~Sara Havens, LEO Weekly
