简介
Kent Rose has been singing hillbilly music in ballrooms and barrooms, back yards and boulevards, since 1970 all over the Midwest and points both east and west. TJ Simon of Music-Box Online described him as "dressing like Buck Owens, singing like Dwight Yoakam, and writing songs like Buddy Holly" and to hear and see is to definitely agree. While often working with bands, this record features Kent's solo sound in addition to four earlier band-backed cuts. What started out as a guide to prospective bandmates turned into the sound Kent was looking for and, became "One Riot, One Ranger." As Kent puts it, '"a fiddle player once told me that when he heard me sing, he started believing in reincarnation. I didn't know if it was a compliment, but I knew I was on to something".
