Kate began performing as a busker at the age of 15 in her home-town of Albury in Australia, and since then has had the opportunity to perform at major festivals and music events both in Australia and Asia. This EP was recorded by Mas Oki Gembus at Studio Kua Etnika Padepokan, Yogyakarta, Indonesia during 2015. It features Kate Grealy on vocals, and Indonesian artists Pramono Wahyu Hidayat on guitar, Wasis Tanata on drums, Joko Tri Budiono on bass, and Akrim 'A-inx' Misuari on piano accordion. Kate's music has been described as expressing "elements of folk, blues and a dash of jazz delivered with great soul," while her musical presence analogized as "the light in my fridge when [one opens] it to get another beer." Influenced by the musical legacy of artists such as Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan, Kate's lyrics explore the stories of friends and strangers.
